New macros available to retrieve the names of clients (advertisers, agencies, and brands), and passbacks for third-party sponsor ads.

New macros to retrieve clients' names

New macros are available to retrieve the names of the clients connected to your ads:
  • ${advertiser.name}, to retrieve the name of the advertiser.
  • ${agency.name}, to retrieve the name of the agency.
  • ${brand.name}, to retrieve the name of the brand.
This allows for easier reporting and correlation of data to you and the third party.

Passbacks for third-party sponsor ads

Note: This feature needs to be enabled for your account. Contact your Account Manager if you want to use passbacks for third-party sponsor ads.

Passbacks are backup ad sources for when a third-party ad fails to show for whatever reason. The purpose of passbacks is to increase your fill rate by providing extra chances for an ad to be actually displayed to a viewer.

Previously, passbacks were available only for normal third-party ads. Now, sponsor third-party ads can also have passbacks and only other sponsor ads are eligible as passbacks. The feature needs to be enabled for your account, but the rest of the configuration and behavior is the same as for normal third-party ads.
